Jamie Carragher went all out for his daughter Mia’s 21st celebration – even going so far as to dress up as none other than Willy Wonka.

The Liverpool legend ditched his usual pundit attire for a purple velvet coat, top hat, and oversized bow tie as he channeled the eccentric chocolate factory owner in celebration of his daughter's milestone.

Mia, attired as Poison Ivy for her costume celebration, commemorated her birthday with an extravagant bash filled with loved ones. However, it was her father’s striking ensemble that grabbed everyone's attention online.

Carragher, at 46 years old, displayed his pride wearing complete costumes, posting pictures and clips from the event on Instagram.

He penned: 'Such an awesome evening for Mia’s 21st birthday costume bash,' along with a heart, dancing, and beer emojis.

To add to the enjoyment, Carragher completely dove into his Willy Wonka character by grabbing the microphone and singing Pure Imagination, the well-known tune from the beloved 1971 movie.

At the same time, Jamie’s son, James Carragher, who plays professionally for Wigan, embraced the costume theme by adopting a Peaky Blinders look with his ensemble of a sleek three-piece suit, flat cap, and vintage pocket watch.

Mia is an actress who completed her education at Tring Park Performing Arts School in 2022. In her earlier years, she pursued dance training at Rare Studios located in Liverpool.

She has been featured in several films, such as: 'One Night in Istanbul', 'The Gathering,' and 'Watering Hole.'

Mia boasts over 89,300 followers on Instagram, where she shares photos of her travels, lifestyle and career ventures.

In the meantime, she shares humorous videos and vlogs on her TikTok page, amassing an additional 59,200 followers there.

A little while ago, she popped up briefly when her father was doing his commentator work for CBS during their Champions League coverage.

Following his appearance on live television, Carragher responded with: "Hey love, how're you doing? I’m on TV right now."

Micah Richards quipped, "Looks like my Emmy just flew out the window," as Carragher clarified that Mia was merely inquiring about her mother’s whereabouts. He then responded to his daughter saying, "No clue, love. I’m in London right now, at the studio."

Scott subsequently inquired of Carragher whether Mia would be interested in using the loudspeaker; she seemed to agree.

Once Richards informed her that she had disrupted the live broadcast, Mia’s initial statement was: "Oh my gosh, I'm really sorry. I had no idea he was on air."

Carragher subsequently joked, "Aren’t you going to put the shady box on?" since CBS’s broadcast is exclusive to the United States.

Host Kate Scott seized the moment to inquire of Mia, "I'm really curious, your father appears somewhat prickly on television; what is he like off-screen?" To this, Mia responded with a smile, "He’s wonderful."

Following her reply, which elicited an outpouring of "awws" from everyone present at the studio, the legendary figure from Liverpool declared, "My dear, I adore you beyond measure. You truly shine."

He remarked, "This girl can never do anything wrong. I am incapable of yelling at her; after all, it’s difficult for me to raise my voice at you, isn’t it?"
